Fadhilah Wahid is a Singaporean writer. This work is a collection of letters (more like essays) originally addressed to subscribers of her newsletter. Mostly written while she was travelling, living and studying in Malaysia, South Africa and Yemen, the essays are really vehicles for her reflections on a life lived in the awareness of and gratitude to Allah. Heartfelt, sincere, and with touches of self-deprecating humour, this collection is as much welcomed for its candour about the challenges of a modern-day Muslimah as for the rarity of this glimpse of a life that the essayist has documented with both grace and wit.
